“The Last Dance”: Dina Thorslund Defends Titles Against Terumi Nuki
On August 30th, WBO and WBC female bantamweight champion Dina Thorslund (22-0, 9 KOs) will defend her titles against Japan’s Terumi Nuki (15-5, 10 KOs) at the Graakjaer Arena in Holstebro, Denmark. Nuki, the current Asia-Pacific title holder, is ranked number 3 by the WBO.
The highly anticipated bout, billed as “The Last Dance,” may mark the culmination of Thorslund’s illustrious career. The 30-year-old Danish boxer, who captured her world titles in 2018, has hinted that this could be her final fight in her home country. Reports suggest that the champion is in discussions to participate in a tournament abroad, but if those plans do not materialize, this showdown against Nuki may very well be the last time fans see Thorslund in the ring.
Chief Support: Jacob Bank Looks to Solidify Contender Status
In the chief support, undefeated super middleweight prospect Jacob Bank (13-0, 7 KOs) will take center stage on this TK Promotion event, looking to further solidify his position as a fringe contender within the division.
“This is a significant fight for me, and I’m determined to put on a show for the fans in Holstebro,” said Bank. “I’ve been working hard in the gym, and I’m ready to take the next step in my career.”
