Tragedy Strikes Boxing: Heavyweight Ardi Ndembo Passes Away After Knockout
Miami, FL – In a heartbreaking turn of events, Congolese heavyweight boxer Ardi Ndembo has tragically passed away after being knocked out during a Team Combat League (TCL) match on April 5th. The 27-year-old father of two had been competing for the Miami Assassins when he was felled by Nestor Santana of the Las Vegas Hustle.
According to reports, Ndembo remained unconscious on the canvas for several agonizing minutes before being rushed to a nearby hospital. He was later placed in an induced coma, but sadly, his untimely death was announced by Viva Promotions on Thursday evening.

Ndembo, who hailed from Brazzaville, Congo, boasted an impressive professional record of 8-0, with 7 knockouts. His coach, Jeff Mayweather, uncle to boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr., expressed the inherent risks involved in the sport, stating:
“Boxing’s a sport where you grow up watching it and loving it, but there’s so much risk involved. Anyone can lose their life from boxing. When something like this happens, it wakes up the whole entire world.”
The tragic loss of Ardi Ndembo has left the boxing community in mourning, and a GoFundMe campaign has been organized by the TCL to benefit his two children. The organization has promised to match all donations up to $25,000, in an effort to provide support for Ndembo’s family during this difficult time.
