Indio, California – In a night of captivating boxing action at the Fantasy Springs Casino, several up-and-coming talents showcased their skills on the DAZN-broadcast undercard.
In the co-feature bout, 22-year-old cruiserweight Tristan Kalkreuth of Texas delivered a convincing unanimous decision victory over Anthony Halloway of Illinois. Kalkreuth’s right hand in the third round proved pivotal, prompting Halloway to fight more aggressively on the inside. Despite Halloway’s efforts, Kalkreuth maintained control, with all three judges scoring the bout 99-91 in his favor.
Elsewhere on the card, 19-year-old junior welterweight Grant Flores of Thermal, California, scored a third-round stoppage win over Josias Gonzalez of Whittier, California. Flores capitalized on Gonzalez’s willingness to exchange punches, delivering powerful blows that led the referee to halt the contest at the 2:34 mark.
Additionally, 21-year-old junior lightweight Leonardo “Bazooka” Sanchez of Cathedral City, California, showcased his punching power, stopping Jenel Lausa of the Philippines in the fourth round. Sanchez scored two knockdowns in the third round and landed a decisive left hook in the fourth, forcing the referee to intervene at 1:08.
In the opening bout, 18-year-old junior welterweight Cayden Griffiths of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, made a successful professional debut, stopping Juan Bautista Romero of Mexico in two rounds. Griffiths’ effective left hooks to the body proved too much for Romero, leading the referee to call off the fight at 0:43 of the second round.
