Junior lightweight Eduardo “Rocky” Hernandez delivered a spectacular performance, stopping Daniel Lugo via technical knockout in the seventh round at the Palenque de la Féria National de San Marcos in Aguascalientes, Mexico.

Hernandez Regains Control After Early Setback
Despite a minor setback in the third round when Lugo briefly wobbled Hernandez, the resilient “Rocky” regained control in the fourth, unleashing a barrage of powerful uppercuts during a prolonged exchange in the center of the ring. Hernandez then truly seized the momentum in a dominant fifth round, battering Lugo with a relentless onslaught of punishing shots.
Hernandez Closes the Show in the Seventh Round
While Lugo managed to survive the round, the writing was on the wall, and Hernandez closed the show in the seventh, hurting his opponent with a crushing uppercut before forcing referee Alejandro Lomeli to intervene at the 2:17 mark and halt the contest.
“It did surprise me how hard he hit,” the defeated fighter Lugo admitted.
Hernandez, who was coming off a narrow defeat against O’Shaquie Foster, showed his determination to secure a world title shot, declaring, “O’Shaquie Foster, Joe Cordina, Oscar Valdez, I just want you to know that Rocky Hernandez is ready for you.“
