Boxing Highlights: Former Champion Braehmer Struggles as Promoter, Ziani Retains Title, and More
In a recent boxing event in Nuremberg, Germany, former world champion Juergen Braehmer took on the dual roles of promoter and trainer, with mixed results. While he fared well in his promotional duties, Braehmer had to throw in the towel when his cruiserweight fighter, Armend Xhoxhaj (18-4, 9 KOs), was outclassed by the undefeated Huseyin Cinkara (22-0, 18 KOs) in an IBF eliminator bout. Cinkara’s impressive performance against Xhoxhaj has now put him in line to face the winner of the Dimitrii Bivol-Artur Beterbiev clash.
