Shawn Porter Sees Parallels Between Lomachenko and Canelo
In a recent episode of “Deep Waters” on ProBox TV, analyst Shawn Porter drew intriguing comparisons between the profiles of 36-year-old former three-division titleholder Vasiliy Lomachenko and 33-year-old boxing superstar Saul “Canelo” Alvarez.
Despite the recent discourse surrounding Lomachenko’s potential decline, Porter asserted that the Ukrainian lightweight “still has what it takes to become a champion.”
“Lomachenko is a unique talent, and I believe he can still reach the top of the sport,” Porter stated.
Moreover, Porter expressed his preference for a particular matchup he would like to see for Lomachenko, who is set to take on George Kambosos Jr. in Perth, Australia, this coming Sunday.
