Undefeated Prospect Abdullah Mason Dominates Veteran Luis Lebron in Thrilling Third-Round TKO Victory
Newark, NJ – On Saturday night, undefeated lightweight prospect Abdullah Mason, 20, delivered a commanding performance, earning a third-round TKO victory over veteran Luis Lebron on the Shakur Stevenson-Artem Harutyunyan undercard at the Prudential Center.
The Cleveland-native Mason (14-0, 12 KOs) made a strong statement in what was arguably his toughest test to date, completely overwhelming the 31-year-old Lebron (21-6-1, 13 KOs) and forcing his corner to throw in the towel as Lebron’s nose bled profusely.
“From the opening bell, Mason established his jab and utilized his speed and power to punish the veteran Lebron, a southpaw, with clean combinations to the head and body.”
In the second round, Mason landed a thunderous right hand that left Lebron’s nose bloodied, and he followed up with two quick knockdowns to seize full control.
Sensing an opportunity to make a statement, the determined Mason continued his onslaught in the third, relentlessly pummeling Lebron with a barrage of jabs and power shots that ultimately prompted the stoppage, solidifying his status as a rising force in the lightweight division.
