Emerging Lightweight Visioli Packs Knockout Power in Professional Debut
Two months later, the Mark Tibbs-trained fighter repeated the feat, scoring an identical knockout victory over Samuel Pikire in the second round. In May, Visioli continued his knockout streak, breaking down Sergio Obadai before finishing him with a brutal left to the body.
Now, the 21-year-old from Guildford will return to the ring this Saturday at London’s Copperbox Arena, where he is set to take on Tampala Maharusi. With three fights, three highlight-reel stoppages, the question remains: where does Visioli’s devastating power and knockout ability stem from?
“I don’t know if it’s power – I think it’s more speed,” Visioli (3-0, 3 KOs) explained to BoxingScene. “These guys are rushing forward, and I’m catching them flush on the chin. It’s hard to explain.”
The young prospect believes his background in point kickboxing, which he pursued in his early teenage years, has played a significant role in sharpening his reflexes and ring IQ. “You’re constantly on your toes, and it’s the first one to score,” he said. “You cannot get hit, so you’re constantly thinking. It’s a thinking game.”
Visioli’s cerebral approach to the sport has been on full display in his professional career thus far. “I think my brain is one of my best attributes,” he stated. “I’m smart at what I do. Also, I’m doing it without even knowing it sometimes.”
Rather than relying solely on his natural talents, Visioli has been proactive in making adjustments to his style from the outset, determined to make an immediate impact as a professional. “I wanted to show quite quickly that I can not just hit hard but get my name out there, which I think I’ve done quite well,” he said.
With his blistering knockout power, sharp boxing skills, and tactical acumen, Visioli has already acquired a reputation that has fight fans eagerly anticipating his next appearance in the ring.
