Boxing Showdown Looms as Cobbs Promises ‘Ass-Whooping’ for Broner
Hollywood, Florida – In a highly anticipated boxing matchup, Blair Cobbs has promised Adrien Broner an “ass-whooping” when the two face off at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino this Friday.
Cobbs (16-1-1, 10 KOs), despite lacking the extensive experience of his 34-year-old opponent Broner (34-4-1, 24 KOs), is expressing unwavering confidence in his ability to emerge victorious. During the pre-fight buildup, Cobbs brought out a puppet he dubbed “The Trash Can Man,” seemingly mocking one of Broner’s nicknames, “The Can Man,” and quoting the latter’s previous insults.
“We had a good time, he had a good run, and now it is time for his demise,” Cobbs declared. “We all know what is going to happen. It is an ass-whooping. It is ass-whooping time.”
As Broner arrived on the scene, the atmosphere grew tense, with Cobbs maintaining a more subdued demeanor while Broner appeared animated. When the media questioned Broner about his tendency to hold back and not “let his hands go” in fights, Cobbs was quick to interject.
“He is going to let his hands go?” Cobbs questioned. “Has that ever happened? Is that actually a thing?”
Cobbs acknowledged that he is prepared to face any version of Broner, but he believes the latter’s punch output could be a weakness. In many of Broner’s past losses and controversial victories, his failure to throw enough punches has been a recurring theme.
“Come fight night, there is nothing but an ass-whopping coming,” Cobbs reiterated, leaving no doubt about his confidence in the outcome.
The boxing showdown between Cobbs and Broner is set to take place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, on Friday.
