Boxing Fans Gear Up for Cruiserweight Title Clash at Selhurst Park
On June 15th, boxing enthusiasts will witness an electrifying cruiserweight title showdown at South London’s Selhurst Park Stadium. Isaac Chamberlain will take on Jack Massey for the vacant European and Commonwealth cruiserweight titles, in a highly anticipated “Battle of Britain” event.
The bout was initially scheduled for Chamberlain to challenge Michal Cieslak for the EBU belt, but due to Cieslak’s injury, the European title has been vacated, providing Massey the opportunity to step in and face Chamberlain.
Chamberlain (16-2, 8 KOs), the mandatory challenger for the European crown, secured his position following a dominant points victory over London rival Mikael Lawal for the British and Commonwealth titles last October at York Hall. Massey (21-2, 12 KOs), the former IBO cruiserweight titleholder, will be eager to capture the European glory, having stopped Steve Eloundou Ntere inside a round in his most recent outing at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool, England, in January.
“We now have another cruiserweight battle of Britain confirmed for our historic event at Selhurst Park as Isaac Chamberlain and Jack Massey clash for the European and Commonwealth titles. This is a massive fight for both men, with huge rewards for the winner and a very big addition to June 15.” – Promoter Ben Shalom
The action-packed card will be headlined by the WBO cruiserweight title fight between Chris Billam-Smith and Richard Riakporhe. Additionally, rising talents such as Ben Whittaker, Ezra Arenyeka, and London light heavyweight contender Dan Azeez will take to the ring, alongside promising bantamweight prospect Francesca Hennessy.
Boxing enthusiasts can look forward to a night of thrilling cruiserweight action, as Chamberlain and Massey battle it out for the coveted European and Commonwealth titles on June 15th at Selhurst Park Stadium.
